Sometimes professional rendezvous with clients can throw real surprises and interesting ones at that. During one such meet with a prospective client who was looking to clear the mess in his accounting and Tally software, my jaw dropped when the client pulled out a small notebook from his pocket and told me his entire accounts is in this pocket book and that the Tally “just” needs to be updated with this book and that he does not trust Tally. Really???? He further went on to add, “you wake me up even @ midnight, all the bank, payable, receivable details are on my fingertips. I just need your support to satisfy Taxmen & Auditors! Well, it takes all sorts to make the world.
In stark contrast to this, I met another young client prospect venturing into Technology. He made his statement point blank. “Sir, I don’t want to waste my time, I need perfection- give me every day reporting, need decision making reports, MIS should be in place, 100% statutory compliance on time.” “Give me your proposal.” Okay, thanks for the opportunity.
